About Our Chapter: Nu Chi
Prior to the Fall semester of 1990, the idea that Alpha Kappa Psi would continue to spread its influence, power, and prominence, to reach the University of Central Florida, was just a vision. It was during this year that Alpha Kappa Psi gathered 14 of its brightest and most successful Brothers to come together in Orlando, Florida with the goal of finding those individuals who were like minded in the ways of business and ethics of AKPsi. These new candidates would have the honor and responsibility of maintaining and projecting the ideals that have made Alpha Kappa Psi the premiere business fraternity it is today.
It was in the Fall of 1990 that the Alpha Kappa Psi, UCF colony recruited its first or rather, Alpha, pledge class and on April 20, 1991 it was so. The colony at the University of Central Florida would henceforth be known as the Nu Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi setting the stage for its long and proud tradition at UCF. Since then, over 550 men and women of the UCF College of Business and others with minors in the field of commerce, accounts, and finance have come together to become Brothers of the Nu Chi Chapter.
Nu Chi has seen its brothers venture out to become leaders in many other collegiate organizations as students, and become leaders in the business world after receiving their bachelors and/or masters degrees. Through the exercise of the ideals of business ethics and Brotherhood set out by Alpha Kappa Psi’s four founding fathers, Nu Chi’s brothers have seen nothing but success in all fields in which they have dared to conquer.
